Postdoctoral Research Opportunity in Corneal Biomechanics and Biomedical Optics

The Group of Research in Biophotonics and Biomedical Optics (GIBIO) at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP) is seeking an outstanding early-career researcher to join a research program focused on corneal biomechanics, Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), and Optical Coherence Elastography (OCE).

The successful candidate will contribute to research on the early diagnosis of keratoconus and the monitoring of corneal crosslinking treatments using advanced optical imaging technologies. Applicants must be 40 years old or younger as of July 1, 2026, hold a PhD obtained within the last five years, and demonstrate a strong publication record. Experience in biophotonics, biomedical optics, OCT, microscopy, ophthalmic imaging, and signal or image processing is highly desirable.

Interested candidates should send an email to Dr. Fernando Zvietcovich, Principal Investigator of GIBIO, at fzvietcovich@pucp.edu.pe. Please refer to the full call for eligibility requirements, application materials, and position details here.
