🎓 From the BioPhotonics and Biomedical Optics Research Group (GIBIO) at @pucp, we congratulate Roger Valencia for becoming the first GIBIO member to earn a Master’s degree in Applied Physics, after defending his thesis this past Monday, June 23, under the supervision of Dr. Fernando Zvietcovich, GIBIO’s director.
His research, titled “Design, implementation and characterization of an Optical Coherent Tomography system based on a swept infrared laser source for the structural and biomechanical measurement of ocular and skin tissues”, represents a valuable contribution not only academically, but also practically — the optical coherence tomography system he designed and built is currently used by several of our researchers.

👏 We celebrate this great achievement with you and thank you for your dedication and contribution to the team. Congratulations, Roger!
